But when one is in love, sometimes one is under an illusion (having a false and unreal perception about the real fact). You feel you love somebody. You admire his/her good qualities. He is rich. He is a man of honour in the community. She is generous. She is clean and hard-working. Other people tell you stories about him/her which point out that he/she is a different kind of person. You hear that he/she has this and that fault. But then you try not to listen. You say to yourself: “My love will change him/her.”
Almost certainly you are deceiving yourself! You will not change him/her so much that you will be able to live happily with him/her – and his/her faults – for the rest of your life.
