Christmas
What comes to your mind when you hear of Christmas?
Is it all about eating, drinking and being satisfied?
Is it all about partying throughout the day?
Is it all about travelling overseas and relaxing at your favorite resort?
Yes Christmas calls for all those secondary activities, but still we may not really understand what Christmas is all about and how it became a blessing to mankind. Some people throw caution to the wind when ever Christmas is around the corner.

Yes Christmas calls for all those secondary activities, but still we may not really understand what Christmas is all about and how it became a blessing to mankind. Some people throw caution to the wind when ever Christmas is around the corner.
Some people capitalize on Christmas to dupe other people and venture into clandestine business activities, some people run around buying various material things just to show that they belong and are the happening people in the society. Our ladies now view Christmas as a “marry now opportunity”, trying to hook up at all cost with the happening guys that would be coming back home for the Christmas celebration. And thus so many have gone astray and have forgotten or may not have being told of what Christmas was really all about.
The true meaning of Christmas is this:
“God took on the form of a human to die in our place, paying for our sins, so that humans who receive him might be forgiven of all their past mistakes and they can now be with him forever”
You are free to reject that message and the one, who delivered it. But what you are not free to do is to redefine or change the message into what fits your own belief and choices. But i enjoin you to accept the message and who delivered it because its the Truth, The way to Eternal life and fulfillment.

Isn’t that message worth celebrating?
Isn’t that child worth worshipping?
Isn’t that man worth receiving?
And I believe that every true and committed Christian would say a very big YES to the above questions
Yes that the message Jesus Christ came to deliver was worth celebrating.
Yes the child Jesus Christ was worth worshipping (no wonder the Wise men from the east came with: Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh to worship him).
Yes that man was worth receiving.
Isn’t that child worth worshipping?
Isn’t that man worth receiving?
And I believe that every true and committed Christian would say a very big YES to the above questions

Yes the child Jesus Christ was worth worshipping (no wonder the Wise men from the east came with: Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh to worship him).
Yes that man was worth receiving.
"For so greatly did God love the world that He gave his only Son, that every one who trusts in Him may not perish but may have the Life of Ages."
God has really done it all for us, so now during Christmas we should do the following:
• Engage in a sober reflection and think about all the grace, goodness and mercies of God in our lives.
• Thank God for the life and everything we have achieved so far and for giving us Hope, which is his son Jesus Christ.
• We should use this Christmas period to reach out to people, giving hope to the hopeless, showing care to our loved ones, visiting the orphanage, prison yards and homes of people who can't really help themselves out, encouraging those people who have lost faith in God to go back to God, and look on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
We should celebrate God and not Man, we should try our best to bear in mind that Christmas was the elevation and Independence of man from the chains and bondage of sin, from the devil and his principalities.
Let’s celebrate Christmas and not the devil, because he is not happy that at last we were given Hope, Freewill and Independence, after he deceived man at the very beginning thinking that he would solely become the custodian of the souls of Men.
Gods love is really unimaginable, he is our father and we are his sons and daughters.
