Within weeks she is already laying, after almost 21days of natural incubation, the new chicks were hatched, then the parental care began.
It wasn't a better mother because out of the 10 hatched chicks only 3 were weaned, other suffer the scavenger bird and other threats. Then the new generation began. They kept surviving.
From physical appearance, we could identify one (1) cocks, two (2) hen, because the distinct cock exhibit a very protruded reddish comb, and started crowing as earlier as possible from cracking should to a more crystalized voice. Very soon it started fighting for territory and chase away the other two hens. As if that wasn't enough he started riding both.
Sooner than later one of the hens started laying egg while the other doesn't upon frequent riding.
Since the other hen is incubating her eggs the riding is now more frequent with the assumed barren hen.
Days pass by, moon and sun pass over, but nothing was coming forth.
Then one morning, a cracking voice was heard after the crystal voice of the cock, I went to check abruptly, the cock that invaded our privacy. To my Surprise the assumed barren hen was the one crowing.
No wonder it hasn't been able to lay. Within days the voice became more crystal clear and the red comb started protruding........ Then it crows.
