As the minister entered
the mini – mart,
He misplaced his holy
thoughts.
And the anointing left him
slowly!
Come on! Come on!!
The serpent called slowly.
As he saw Lucy, he was amazed
because,
She was a beauty on a mini
– skirt.
He reformed, to his real
form,
And the genuine word of
God left him faintly!
Come on! Come on!!
The serpent called
faintly.
As he remembered his
ministrations,
He was perturbed, by lust.
And the Holy Spirit fled
gently!
Come on! Come on!!
The serpent called gently.
As he maximized his
telescopic spectacles,
He suddenly saw the minges
of the serpent.
And the Almighty turned
away, angrily!
Come on! You on it!
The serpent kept
persuading furiously.
As he looked and adjusted
his spectacles,
What he saw kept changing
like a see – saw,
And then, the spirit of
deception and lustfulness has engulfed him!
He is fallen! He is
fallen!
The serpent took over his
soul, gradually.
Come lets go far away,
where none of your members
Can perceive us.
I promise to give you myself
and beyond.
A satisfaction beyond your
expectations.
She said, looking at him…
With seductive and
deceptive blues eyes.
He agreed to pay, for the
ride
That would take them to
the
Dwells of Human carnality,
Forgetting he has already
mounted
A white flag on his
calling.
The Author’s View
The writer [Muoka Chibuzor] of this brief
poetry “The Minister and The Beauty on mini – skirt”, is of the opinion that
there was series of impious and ungodly events that led to the downfall of the
minister.
The minister in this
context refers to the First Man and Woman who were deceived by the serpent
(Lucy – shortened for Lucifer – the first angel of light) and this lead to the fall
of man from the closeness of God due to sin.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. – Prov. 14:34
The fall of man, or the
fall, is a term used in Christianity to describe the transition of the first
man and woman from a state of innocent obedience to God to a state of guilty
disobedience. Although not named in the Bible, the doctrine of the fall comes
from a biblical interpretation of Genesis chapter 3.
At first, Adam and Eve
lived with God in the Garden of Eden, but the serpent tempted them into eating
the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which God had forbidden.
After doing so, they became ashamed of their nakedness and God expelled them
from the Garden to prevent them from eating from the tree of life and becoming
immortal.
The minister was deceived,
despite the fact that he had the word of God with him. And this lead him to
mount a white flag (surrender) on his calling as a minister of God.
Seduction and Deception
were the primordial Keys used by the serpent to unlock, invade and attack the
innocence of man. This was because the serpent discovered the gullibility of
Man, which was to put man under constant pressure and persuasion to do that he would not have done. The serpent took over
immediately Man disobeyed God.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour - 1 peter 5-8Ways to Over come Sin by - JOSH HICKS
Firstly,
Consider the Psalmist’s words in Psalm 1:
Blessed is the man that
walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
So then:
1. Walk not in the counsel
of the ungodly –
You do not need the world’s advice, nor its poor sinful worldview!
You do not live in a world fashioned by chaos; rather, you live in a world that
was fashioned by the very word of God. Take your
advice from the Word of God. In the very same Psalm (v. 2b) it says that the
godly man meditates on God’s Law day and night, and that it is his delight.
2. Stand not in the way of
sinners –
This doesn’t mean “Don’t get in sinner’s ways.” It means don’t walk,
live, go the way that sinners do. This
is the path to which you were originally inclined, due to being conceived and
born dead in sin. But if Christ has saved you, continue in it!
We
need not accustom ourselves to the world’s manner of doing things, for their
motivations are wrong, their means are wrong, and their manner is wrong.
Instead, seek the Scripture’s way of how you ought live. Attend the means of
grace God has graciously given and pattern your life after such instruction.
3. Sit not in the seat of
the scorner –
I’ll defer to the venerable Matthew Henry here. “[H]e does not
repose himself with those that sit down secure in their wickedness and please
themselves with the searedness of their own consciences. He does not associate
with those that sit in close cabal to find out ways and means for the support
and advancement of the devil’s kingdom, or that sit in open judgment,
magisterially to condemn the generation of the righteous.
The seat of the
drunkards is the seat of the scornful, Ps. 69:12.
Happy is the man that never
sits in it, Hos. 7:5.”
