I'm In a Relationship: God Says Vs. Men Says, Whom Would You Believe?

The power of choice cannot be overruled in the affairs of mankind. God gave man the power of choice right from the Garden of Eden - to choose to go by what He says or what the devil said. And the choice he made determined the order of his life, even up till date. 

Every other people that came after the first man and woman lived according to the choices they made. Either good or bad, positive or negative, you have the power to make whatever choice you want in life. But the consequence of your choice cannot be determined.

You may think you will own up to whatever life you live after making certain choices but the consequence of the choice you will experience in life will have generations unborn to partake in the effect of the choices you made. 

This is why through one man's sin, billions of people were made sinners and through one man's obedience, many were made righteous. What kind of choice are you making in that relationship? It's either you live according to what God says or you live by what the society says. Both has their reward!

The Big Question - Who do you obey?

1. God says, flee fornication; the society says, if you cannot hold your body, use a condom. Whom would you obey?

2. The society says, there are scientific or health benefits why you must have sex before marriage, God says, marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled (Heb. 13:4).

3. God says your body is His temple, men says, you own yourself and you're entitled to what you do with it.

4. God says, cover what I have given you. Men says, show them what your mama has given you. Flaunt your assets and dress to kill or impress (seduce).

5. God says he or she that loves pleasure is dead while he or she lives but the society tells you to enjoy your life as much as you can.

6. The society says get rich or die while trying but God says godliness with contentment is of great gain because the love of money is the root of all evil.

7. God says flee every appearance of evil, men says the likes of kissing, petting, caressing each other's sexual organs, erotic conversations and so on isn't a big deal.

8. God says fornicators and adulterers he will judge; but the society says you can engage in premarital or extramarital sex since you own your life.

9. Men says divorce can be allowed when the going gets rough but God said He hates divorce and the putting away of the wife of your youth (Mal. 2:16).

10. God designed marriage this way: a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife to become one (Gen. 2:24). But the world says you can have more wives since men are polygamous in nature and it's their world.

11. Men says relationship between the opposite sex must be beneficial, that is, having strings attached but God says iron sharpens iron and a man sharpens the countenance of his friend (Prov. 27:17).

12. God says love not the world neither the things that are in it. The world passes away and all the things that are therein. But the world says, bow to me, I'll give you the kingdom of the world.

13. God says, all unrighteousness is a sin but men said that it is not a big deal since 'everyone is doing it'.

14. Men says if you cannot beat them, join them. But God says do not follow multitude to do evil. And the friendship with the world is an enmity against Him.

15. God says sex before marriage and outside it is a sin. But men says, you must show how fertile you can be by tolerating premarital sex. And if your wife doesn't satisfy you, go for those small girls.

My brother and sister, whom would you obey? You'll be faced with more consequences when you obey the words of men than what God says. 

You won't walk in darkness when you obey Him but you'd be faced with bitter consequences, sin and relationship issues when you obey the world. Go to His word for the truth you need because other 'truths' won't set you free but put your life in bondage!
